FBR to keep tax offices open on Saturday despite holiday

The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has announced that all tax offices across the country will remain open on Saturday, December 23, to facilitate the collection of duty taxes, reported 24NewsHD TV channel Tuesday.

The FBR has issued a notification to the Chief Commissioners of Large Tax Payer Office, Regional Tax Office and Corporate Tax Office, directing them to ensure regular attendance of staff and officers at their respective offices.

The FBR said that the decision was taken to assist the taxpayers in paying their tax liabilities before the end of the year. The FBR also urged the taxpayers to avail the opportunity and clear their dues in time.
