A man in Dadu, Sindh, refused to get his daughter vaccinated by anti-polio team on Thursday. Later, the man fled with his daughter when the Health authorities arrived at his home following a complaint by the anti-polio vaccinators.

Reportedly, Waryam Jamali, resident of Mazdoorabad area of District Dadu, refused to cooperate with anti-polio team when he denied to get vaccinated his six-year-old daughter Dua, against the crippling disease.

He claimed Dua was allergic to vaccine and had developed infection earlier after she had been administered anti-polio drops.

He further claimed that when he took her to a government hospital, the doctors refused to treat his child. He questioned as to who will be responsible in case his child is to get sick again after anti-polio vaccination?

Later, when administration reached Jamali’s residence on complaint from anti-polio team, they found the house locked. Police have started a search for him.

ANOTHER MINOR FALL PREY TO CHILD PREDATOR

 Child predators continued their rampage as another nine-year-old child was sexually abused in Tehsil Mehar of District Dadu on Thursday.

The child was taken to hospital for medical examination where initially confirmed the abuse.

The nine-year-old victim identified as Ghulam Haider, was sexually assaulted in Goth Gahi Mahesar, a village in the precincts of Tehsil Mehar, District Dadu.

The victim was shifted to Mehar Tehsil Headquarter Hospital for medical checkup, where Dr Wazeer Ali Thahibo said that preliminary examination confirmed the abuse had occurred. However, a clear picture will emerge as a result of DNA report. The culprit fled the scene and no case could be registered till filing of the report.

Incidents of child molestation appear unstoppable as another harrowing case of minor abuse has surfaced.
