JUI chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman has said in the history of Afghanistan, Pakistan-friendly elements exist in the form of the Emirate of Islamia
“I received an invitation from the Islamic Emirate to have a mutual discussion on the issues between the two countries,” Maulana Fazlur Rehman said in a media talk.
He added: “I took the state into confidence on the agenda of my visit to Afghanistan.
“During our visit, bilateral relations and mutual opportunities in various sectors came under discussion.
He continued: “I had the first meeting with Deputy Prime Minister Mullah Abdul Khabir who expressed good wishes for Pakistan.
“Positive attitudes towards bilateral relations were seen in the meeting with all the officials including the PM.
“Afghan officials also pointed to some of the issues that caused bitterness, but they had a positive attitude towards resolving them.
“The most important thing was that we are aware of the damage Pakistan has suffered due to militancy and this problem can be solved by making a long-term strategy with mutual agreement."
Regarding the Iran raid, he said: “Iran should have informed Pakistan before taking action.
“Iran should have sought help from Pakistan instead of taking action. However, now there is a need for positive steps on the Pakistan-Iran issue.
"Iran started the tension. Pakistan had to register a protest on the issue of Iran.
He claimed that the Jewish lobby in the West still supports the PTI founder.
"The PTI founder and his supporters are liars. They have nothing to do with Pakistan."
