The Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) has issued a notification to all airlines operating in Pakistan to collect Rs 100 from each passenger traveling on domestic flights as airport charges, reported 24NewsHD TV channel Friday.
The notification, which came into effect from January 15, states that the airlines will deposit the collected amount to the CAA on a monthly basis.
The CAA said that the fee is meant to cover the operational and maintenance costs of the airports and to improve the quality of services for the passengers.
