Govt starts taking action to implement SC directive on missing persons case

In order to implement the Supreme Court directives in the missing persons case, the federal government has started taking steps, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Friday.
According to sources, the Attorney General for Pakistan has written a letter to the Secretary of Defence and the Secretary of Interior. He penned this letter to submit a signed written reply in the Supreme Court.
The letter referred to para 11 of the order of the Supreme Court dated January 3, 2024. The apex court has ordered that no person should be illegally disappeared from now on.
Sources said that an affidavit from the most senior officers of the relevant ministries has been demanded.
Amina Masood Janjua and others have filed applications in the Supreme Court in the missing persons case.
