Project completion at the earliest is priority, says CM Naqvi

Punjab Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi chaired a meeting to review the progress of ongoing development projects in the province, 24NewsHD TV channel reported on Friday.
Chief Secretary Zahid Akhtar Zaman, Planning and Development Board chairman, secretaries of construction and communications, and Housing, Punjab Information Technology Board chairman and other officials concerned attended the meeting.
The FWO officials briefed the meeting about the progress of various projects. The chief minister praised the performance of FWO regarding the ongoing projects for the welfare of the people in the Punjab
The meeting reviewed the projects inducing Lahore Ring Road Southern Loop 3, Gujranwala Expressway and Jhelum Laila Road.
Speaking on the occasion, the chief minister reiterated his resolve to finish the public welfare project completion task at the earliest.
“Completion of public welfare projects at the earliest is a priority,” he said, adding that efforts are afoot to open Lahore Ring Road Southern Loop 3 in the beginning of February.
“I want to provide the best transportation facilities to the public as soon as possible,” he said as he issued directives to work hard to ensure better public service delivery.
Regarding the Chand da Qila flyover project, alternative traffic routes should be evaluated, he stressed.
