The Lahore High Court (LHC) on Thursday allowed petitioners in the case of putting the names of children of Farah Gogi, friend of PTI Chairman Imran Khan’s wife Bushra Bibi, on the Exit Control List (ECL) to name additional chief secretary home and DIG anti-corruption as respondents in the case, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
Issuing notices to both the officials, the court sought replies from them in the case.
Three days ago, on July 17, 2023, 24News reported that the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) had submitted its reply in the Lahore High Court (LHC) on the petition filed against the inclusion of names of the children of Farah Gogi in the Exit Control List (ECL).
Justice Shams Mehmood Mirza of the LHC sought a reply from the interior ministry on the next hearing.
The FIA, in its reply, said it had nothing to do with putting the names of the petitioners, Faraz Iqbal Jameel and Iman Jameel, Farah’s children, on the ECL.
Making the federal government, interior ministry, FIA and others respondents in the case, the petitioners said that their parents were away from the country, and their names had been put on the ECL only to politically victimize them.
