The National Accountability Bureau (NAB), Lahore on Thursday summoned former Punjab chief minister Sardar Usman Buzdar in assets beyond sources of income case on July 31, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
Quoting its sources, the channel reported that it was for the 16th time that the bureau had summoned Buzdar in the case as the former chief minister had been continuously skipping appearances before the inquiry team.
The NAB high-ups are yet to make up their mind on arresting Buzdar as they think it will not be appropriate to arrest him at an inquiry stage.
As per the law, the status of the case against him should be upgraded to investigation before he could be taken into custody.
These days the high-ups are contemplating issuing more call-up notices to the former chief minister in the assets beyond sources of income case.
