Children will be taught Artificial Intelligence (AI) in government schools across Punjab, reported 24newsHD TV channel on Saturday.

According to School Education Department, initially the first artificial intelligence lab will be built at Government Kinnaird Girls High School located on Empress Road in Lahore.

Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz will inaugurate the artificial intelligence lab next week.

Earlier, a satellite internet lab was built at Government Girls High School Model Town while Artificial Intelligence is being taught to the students in the said school as well.

After the success of the artificial intelligence course, the aforementioned labs will be set up in schools in other districts as well.

According to the requirements of the present age, the children of government schools will be equipped with modern technology, School Education Department said.
