PM Shehbaz heaps praise on Baku beauty

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has expressed his gratitude to the leadership of Azerbaijan for giving a warm welcome during his recent visit, 24NewsHD TV channel reported on Monday.
Addressing a ceremony of the Prime Minister’s National Innovation Awards, the PM said he will send the outstanding youth to Azerbaijan's capital.
The premier took the Azerbaijani ambassador to the stage and asked him to convey his gratitude to President Ilham Aliyev for welcoming him warmly during his visit to Baku.
He heaped praise on the beauty of Baku city, saying he was thinking that he did a lot to beautify Lahore in his term as the chief minister of Punjab.
But, he added he was surprised to see the Azerbaijani capital’s beautiful landscapes and sceneries.
The premier mentioned the Pak-Azerbaijan gas deal that will help Pakistan meet energy needs.
He praised the talented youth and hoped the young people will play their part in Pakistan’s progress and prosperity.
Under the Prime Minister’s National Youth Award Programme, a total of Rs160 million was distributed to the 100 talented youth.
He stressed the need for unity and national cohesion to cope with the challenges the country has been facing.
