Schools ordered to take measures against dengue

Punjab Education Department on Monday issued directions to the public and private school authorities to ensure the implementation of standard operating procedures (SOPs) regarding dengue, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
The department has directed all educational institutions in the provincial capital in cognizance of the rising number of dengue cases to make a comprehensive plan to combat dengue.
Fear of dengue outbreaks in schools, they are directed to clean the roofs of government and private schools.
“Do not allow clean water to accumulate in school grounds and parks,” the letter adds.
“Deputy DEOs and Assistant Education Officers will visit the schools,” the letter said.
The respective school heads will be responsible for violating the orders and strict action will be taken against them, the letter warned.
