In the midst of escalating tensions in Muzaffargarh, a political scandal has erupted involving PML-N MPA Rana Abdul Manan and Assistant Commissioner Jatoi Tariq Mehmood, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

The controversy began with a protest led by Manan and local farmers over the non-issuance of bardana, a crucial supply for crop packaging.

The situation took a dramatic turn when Manan was accused of orchestrating an assault on Assistant Commissioner Jatoi. The incident allegedly occurred overnight between May 18 and 19, with claims of masked individuals invading AC Jatoi's residence, committing torture, and stealing valuables.

Assistant Commissioner Jatoi has accused Manan of planning the attack, while Manan counters with allegations of Jatoi selling bardana to middlemen for personal gain.

The protest has now been overshadowed by these grave accusations. Manan asserts that the case against him is an attempt to cover up "tens of millions" in corruption linked to bardana sales.
