Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Asim Munir has said the country is on the path to stability and prosperity, 24NewsHD TV channel reported on Wednesday.

“I am confident that Pakistan’s future is bright and stable, ” he said while addressing the business community in Karachi,

The Army chief said; “I also said in the last session that despair is forbidden for a Muslim.”

He said: “The clouds of despair have cleared today. Economic indicators are good and things will get better next year.”

He questioned where are those who claimed Pakistan would be a defaulter. “Shouldn't they be held accountable?” he added.

He continued: “Nothing, including politics, comes before the country.”

“We all should give priority to Pakistan over personal interest.

“The state is like a mother and its value should be asked from the people of Libya, Iraq and Palestine.

“Remember! We have no identity other than Pakistan.”

“No matter how many difficulties we are facing, if we all stand united, we will overcome crises.

The COAS stressed: “Only Pakistanis can bring economic stability to Pakistan through a bailout.

“You should come to Pakistan with your money, people will earn and the country will develop.”

The COAS identified illegal businessmen as terrorism’s sponsors and underscored the importance of protecting the nation’s digital borders.

“Digital security is the responsibility of the state,” he said.
