Caretaker Punjab Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi has given approval of Rs4.4 million for the liver transplant of a section officer of Finance Department, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Wednesday.

Finance Department Section Officer Ilyas Abbasi has been suffering from liver disease for many years.

These funds will be released in the next meeting of the Cabinet Committee.

The section officer will undergo a liver transplant at Pakistan Kidney and Liver Institute (PKLI) next month after release of funds.
