Mohsin Naqvi vows to convert National Police Academy into int’l organization

Interior Mohsin Naqvi on Friday morning visited National Police Academy (NPA) Islamabad and held a meeting with under-training officials and inquired about facilities being provided to them, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

On the occasion Mohsin Naqvi personally visited officer’s mess, academy and hostel of the under-training officials. He also checked quality of food being provided to officials.

Mohsin Naqvi directed to provide all necessary facilities to under-training officials in their rooms of hostel.

Mohsin Naqvi also summoned a comprehensive master plan for National Police Academy and directed to prepare new master plan through consultant of international repute.

He assured that funds release by National Police Foundation (NPF) amounting to Rs250 million will be transferred to National Police Academy soon.

Mohsin Naqvi said that National Police Academy will be operational as an autonomous body. He directed relevant officials to complete reconstitution work of the academy during three months period.

He directed to take all necessary measures to convert National Police Academy into a university. He advised officials to crate ASPs courses according to latest standards.

He said that best officials as per stands of Pakistan Military Academy (PMA) Kakul will be deputed in National Police Academy. Mohsin Naqvi said that all necessary facilities and allowances will be provided to these officials.

He said that model police station and training laborites will be established in National Police Academy.

Later, the interior minister presided over a high-level meeting. He vowed to bring National Police Academy as per international standards and police officials from other countries will take admission in National Police Academy for training.

High officials of National Police Academy were also present during the meeting.
