MDCAT (Medical and Dental College Admission Test) exam papers and other materials have been dispatched to various cities under tight security, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Friday.


As per details, the exam papers were sealed in steel trunks and handed over to district police and assistant commissioners for safe transportation.


Senior faculty members from UHS (University of Health Sciences) and other staff are also accompanying them to ensure smooth handling of the materials.


The MDCAT entrance tests for public and private medical and dental colleges across Pakistan are set to take place on September 22.


Arrangements for MDCAT 2024 finalised


Special CCTV cameras will monitor the test centers, and mobile phone jammers will be installed to prevent signal interruptions. A three-stage search process will be in place, including body searches and metal detectors. Women police personnel and lady health workers will assist in searching for female candidates.

Students are strictly prohibited from carrying watches, calculators, pens, pencils, jewelry, examination papers, or ATM cards. Bringing these items to the test center will result in legal action under KMU UFM regulations. Students caught cheating or causing disorder will face a two-year disqualification from the test and may be banned from future educational programs.


Section 144 imposed in Punjab



The government of Punjab has imposed Section 144 in 12 cities across the province ahead of MDCAT exam.

 

According to the notification, only candidates and supervisory staff will be allowed inside the exam centers, while the movement of unrelated individuals will be restricted within 100 yards of the exam centers.


 

Additionally, protests and demonstrations have been banned near the exam centers in the cities including Lahore, Gujranwala, Sialkot, Faisalabad, Multan, Bahawalpur, D.G. Khan, Sahiwal, Rawalpindi, Sargodha, Gujarat, and Rahim Yar Khan.
