Family drowned in Malir River: Woman’s body recovered

The body of a woman, who was among a six-member family and a driver drowned in Karachi’s Malir River a few days back, was found by rescue personnel on Sunday, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
Police said six bodies have so far been recovered during the rescue operation and search for the last body was ongoing until it is found.
Rescue officials had said on Saturday that five bodies including of children had been recovered from the river water.
A rescue operation had been launched to search the six members of the family who was swept away along with the driver, in the floodwater on National Highway Link Road in Karachi on Wednesday last.
The incident occurred at Damloti, where the flash flood in Malir river swept away the ill-fated car with seven on board. The rescue teams found the vehicle hours after the incident.
A man with his wife along with their four children and driver were travelling in the ill-fated car.
