Pakistan Muslin League Nawaz President Shehbaz Sharif during his visit to London will conduct crucial meetings with PML-N supremo Nawaz Sharif and other important leaders of the party, who will join him there, reported the 24NewsHD TV channel.

Former prime minister Shehbaz Sharif landed in London on Sunday.  A big meeting of Muslim League-N leaders is expected in London any time during this week.

It is expected that the return of Nawaz Sharif and the status of the cases he is embroiled in are likely to come up in the meeting, and the two brothers are expected to set a date for the party supremo's return to Pakistan.

Several former federal ministers are already present in London to participate in the meetings.

Former prime minister Nawaz Sharif already summoned top party leaders to London to discuss plans for his return to Pakistan.

The leaders who were directed to reach London included former prime minister Shehbaz Sharif, Azam Nazeer Tarar, Khawaja Asif, Rana Sanaullah, Khawaja Saad Rafique, Saiful Malook Khokhar, Ahsan Iqbal and Marriyum Aurangzeb.

Apart from these leaders, the PML-N leadership from Pakistan will take part in the meetings through the video link. In the most important meeting, the future political strategy and the future of the country's politics will be considered, the sources added. They will lay focus on legal and political deliberations regarding Nawaz Sharif’s return to Pakistan.

The party's legal team is also expected to participate in the meetings to deliberate on the legal hurdles of Nawaz Sharif.

Matters of the election campaign of PML-N will also be discussed for the upcoming general elections.

There will also be a detailed consultation on the future narrative of the party, the sources added.

Shahbaz Sharif will present the list of possible candidates for PML-N in the meeting.

The sources further said that the senior leadership of the party will consider the names of possible candidates.

In the meeting, the issue of seat adjustment at the local level in 20 to 25 national and provincial constituencies from across the country will also be discussed, the sources said.

The names of leaders of other political parties who wish to join PML-N will also be considered in the meeting.

The possible inclusion of these political leaders in the PML-N will be done in the presence of Nawaz Sharif during the election campaign, the sources hinted.

Recently, Shehbaz Sharif said that his brother would return to Pakistan in September, lead the PML-N's election campaign, and assume the role of the prime minister for a fourth time if the party would emerge victorious in the polls.

Nawaz went to London in November 2019 for medical treatment after he was convicted by an accountability court in graft cases and he has been living there since then.
