PTI leaders vow to hold peaceful rally at Tarnol despite cancellation of NOC

Barrister Gohar says NOC given to PTI for rally cannot be cancelled: Omar Ayub claims Islamabad admin committed contempt of court

After Islamabad administration officially denied permission to PTI to hold a public rally in Islamabad on Thursday (tomorrow), PTI chairman Barrister Gohar said that PTI will hold peaceful protest as per the orders of High Court, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

Talking to media, Barrister Gohar said NOC which was given to PTI for rally cannot be cancelled as it was issued on the directives of Islamabad High Court.

He said cancellation of NOC was illegal and undemocratic. He said PTI jalsa will be 30km away from Red Zone Islamabad. KP Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur and other senior leaders will address the rally.

He said PTI will hold rally not a sit-in at 5pm. He said a religious party has scheduled protest D Chowk at 10am in the morning.

Meanwhile, PTI Islamabad Chapter president Amir Mughal said that PTI will hold rally at Tarnol Chowk Peshawar on Augusts 22. He said PTI jalsa committee has unanimously decided that tomorrow’s jalsa will not be cancelled.

Amir Mughal said that peaceful and democratic protests is our righty and we will use it at all cost. He said PTI will hold jalsa for the release of Imran Khan and inflation in the country.

He said “this was contempt of court, we condemn this move”.  Omar Ayub made it clear that PTI rally will be held at Tarnol Chowk Islamabad. He said there will be a peaceful rally at Tarnol and not a single leaf will be harmed. He said this PTI rally will be for future generations and for the future of Pakistan.
