Two police injured in grenade attack on ex-CJ Saqib Nisar’s house in Lahore

Two policemen sustained injuries in a grenade attack at the residence of former chief justice of Pakistan Saqib Nisar in Lahore on Wednesday night.
According to the preliminary probe, two motorcyclists hurled a hand grenade at the former top judge’s Garden Town residence and disappeared.
Senior police officers including CCPO Bilal Siddique reached the spot while IGP Dr Usman Anwar took notice and sought a report.
A spokesperson for the police said the ex-CJ and his family escaped unhurt in the attack.
According to the initial report sent to the IGP, the attack occurred at 8:40 pm, and the police were informed at 9 pm.
The injured are Constable Amir and Constable Khurram, the official said. The top cop issued directives to provide the injured with the best treatment facilities, the spokesperson said.
