ECP releases final list of 17,816 eligible candidates for contesting election on Feb 8

The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) released the final list of candidates for the national and provincial assemblies on Sunday.
According to the 24News HD TV channel, the ECP released Form 33 on its website which also contains details of the election symbol of the candidates.
The channel reported that a total of 17,816 candidates will contest the general seats of national and provincial assemblies from across the country.
Altogether 6,031 candidates of political parties will contest the elections of national and provincial assemblies while 11,785 independent candidates are in the field.
The final list also disclosed that 882 women and four Khawaja Sara (eunuchs) will contest the general seats of the national and provincial assemblies.
