Special Assistant to Prime Minister on Political Affairs Rana Sanaullah Khan has said that a subcommittee has been formed to review the charter of demands submitted by the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI).

Speaking to the media after meeting between the negotiations committee of the ruling alliance and the PTI on Tuesday, Sanaullah said the subcommittee would prepare the response to the PTI’s charter of demands. He said the government would give its response to the PTI’s demands.

Responding to the reporter who quoted PTI Chairman Barrister Gohar Ali Khan as saying that his party would quit talks if the government does not form a judicial commission to investigate the May 9 and November 26 incidents, Sanaullah said they can do whatever they want to, but the government would respond to their demands in writing. He said our written response would make it clear whether the government would form the judicial commission or not.

Earlier, members of the government’s negotiations team held a meeting with National Assembly Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq at the Parliament House. Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar, Law Minister Azam Nazir Tarar, Senator Irfan Siddiqui, MNA Ijaz-ul-Haq, Khalid Magsi and Abdul Aleem Khan attended the meeting.
