116 medics test Covid-19 positive in 24 hours: NIH

Coronavirus continues taking a heavy toll on healthcare workers across the country as 116 of them tested positive during the last 24 hours, a report said on Saturday .
According to the report prepared by the National Institute of Health (NIH), the toll of health workers affected by the virus reached 4,787.
"The virus-affected within the past 24-hours included 80 doctors, 11 nurses and 25 paramedics, "the report said, adding that 2,910 doctors, 577 nurses and 1,300 health workers have been infected so far.
"Currently, 2,500 health workers are quarantined at their homes, while 321 are receiving treatment at hospitals and 321 are said to be in a stable condition," the report showed.
It added 1918 coronavirus-positive healthcare workers have recovered. On the other hand, 48 of the medics have so far died – two of them during the last 24 hours.
