Former cricketer Saleem Malik has said that Nadeem Khan replaced Mudassar to oblige ex-wicket keeper Moeen Khan’s son and nepotism has plagued the Pakistan Cricket Board.
Having played a couple of tests, Nadeem Khan was an inexperienced player and added to the board just to favour Moeen, he said during 24NewsHD TV programme T-20 World Cup Hungama Thursday.
Mudassar was an experienced player as he played 70 tests, he said. Nadeem’s posting was justified on the basis of his performance in the UBL complex, which had to be shut four months later. This man is a level two fail and he conducts level three interviews, he added.
In response to a question, he said that there is a long story behind it.

In fact, Saleem Malik added Muhammad Wasim was too made chief selector to promote favouritism in the board. He urged PCB chief Rameez Raja to get rid of such favourite recruits.
Saleem Malik credited Mudassar for tapping the talent at the academy and questioned where Nadeem Khan trained these players in just two months.
It takes a year or two to train a player at the academy. All these players were trained by Mudassar, while Ijaz Ahmed has also made recruitments from U-19. These people are doing nothing except coming at 2 o'clock and having tea, Saleem Malik added.
