A setback for the Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) in Karak, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) as former adviser to the KP CM and ex-PTI MPA Malik Qasim Khattak on Wednesday joined the Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F), reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
Khattak was twice elected as an MPA from Karak.
He had contested the last general elections held in 2018 on a PTI ticket.
Soon after the incidents of violence of May 9, more and more PTI leaders left the party and either became apolitical or joined other parties.
Before leaving the PTI, they would address press conferences and denounce the incidents that took place on May 9.
Several military and government buildings were vandalized and ransacked and in some instances even burnt by mobs who turned violent after hearing the news of the arrest of former prime minister and PTI Chairman Imran Khan on May 9.
