Five terrorists arrested in CTD operations across Punjab

Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) has arrested five terrorists from different cities of the Punjab during 65 intelligence based operations, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Saturday.
According to CTD spokesperson, the action was being taken in Lahore, Mianwali, Bahawalpur, Jhang and Toba Tek Singh.
Two very dangerous terrorists of Fitna-ul-Khawarij were arrested from Lahore and Mianwali along with weapons and explosive material, spokesman said.
Explosives, four hand grenades, detonator, three safety fuse wire 18 feet, bullets and arms, mobile phones and cash recovered from terrorists.
CTD authorities said that the terrorists were identified as Amjad, Sher, Zabab, Tayab and Baz Khan.
The terrorists wanted to spread fear and panic among the people by operating at different places.
As many as 109 suspects arrested during 980 combing operations this week and 32,662 people were questioned in the combing operations, officials said.
Officials said CTD is working towards the goal of Safe Punjab and authorities are determined to root out the scourge of terrorism.
