34 hardcore terrorists arrested in CTD swoop across Punjab
242 intelligence-based operations carried out in major cities: 11 of the arrested terrorists belonged to banned organisations

Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) personnel arrested 34 hardcore terrorists during massive 242 intelligence-based operations (IBOs) conducted in different cities across Punjab, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Saturday.
A spokesman of CTD said that these intelligence-based operations were conducted in Lahore, Bahawalnagar, Bahawalpur, Gujranwala, Faisalabad, Rawalpindi, Narowal, Sargodha, Chakwal, Jhelum, Attock, Gujrat, Bhakkar and Rahim Yar Khan areas.
The CTD spokesman further revealed that during intelligence-based operations in Lahore, 11 hardcore terrorists of Fitna al Khawarij and other banned organizations were arrested.
The CTD team also recovered maps of important buildings, arms and ammunition, explosive material, 28 detonators, 89-feet long safety fuse wire, bullets, weapons 1 hand grenade, 4 IED bomb, prima card 2 feet, mobile phone, prohibited currency from their custody.
The terrorists were later identified as Zubair, Aslam, Abu Bakr, Fida Hussain, Fahad Saleem, Saifullah, Nafees, Israr, Haji Shah and Abdullah.
These terrorists were planning to target a sensitive building in Lahore.
CTD spokesman said that during the month of November 7536 combing operations were conducted and arrested 637 suspicious people.
During these combing operations CTD personnel also interrogate 2,35,630 peoples.
