Citizens of Rawalpindi have staged a protest against inflated electricity bills in front of the Islamabad Electricity Supply Company (IESCO) office in Kahuta on Tuesday, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

The protesters also tried to enter the IESCO office by force and take down its gate.

The protesters complained that the IESCO is issuing bills of thousands of rupees despite unavailability of electricity. They said the citizens are unable to pay bills due to hike in electricity prices.
