Punjab CM Naqvi commends PITB team for outstanding performance

Caretaker Chief Minister Punjab Mohsin Naqvi visited the head office of Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB) at Arfa Karim Software Technology Park on Thursday, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.


During his visit Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi appreciated PITB Chairman Faisal Yusuf and his entire team for their excellent performance.


Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi also distributed certificates of appreciation among officers who have shown top performance in the last 13 months.


He praised the entire team of PITB for taking various measures for the convenience of the people.


The Chief Minister announced a special reward of Rs30 million for the entire team of PITB.


Talking on the occasion Mohsin Naqvi said in 13 months, PITB has delivered beyond its potential.


He said no project of any organization would have been possible without PITB as it has completed major projects within the timeline.


PITB works late into the night and into the morning, making it a completely different institution from traditional government institutions, the CM added.


“I give credit to Chairman PITB Faisal Yusuf for all the projects. The whole team deserves appreciation,” said Mohsen Naqvi.


He said people are not interested in declarations or statements, but only on practical measures.


People want government to work for them and people only want service delivery, Mohsin Naqvi said.


The CM said our government introduced hospital information management system in hospitals with the support of PITB.


Appreciating CM Punjab said PITB created software for driving license in just two weeks and Faisal Yusuf and his team worked day and night for the driving license software.


When the American Consul General was briefed about PITB's projects, she was very happy and was pleasantly surprised by PITB's innovation, Mohsin Naqvi said.


He said PITB is not a provincial or national level organization but an international level organization and it will acquire safe city projects from abroad.


The CM further said PITB is providing much better services than the private sector.


“If PITB continues to work with the same good intentions, no one can stop it from further development”, said Mohsin Naqvi.


He said PITB's HR is excellent, I am a fan of PITB.


Provincial Information Minister Aamir Mir, Chairman Planning and Development Board, Secretary Information, DGPR and officers of Punjab Information Technology Board were also present on the occasion.
