Jamat-e-Islami announced to stage countrywide protests against loadshedding and increase in electricity price, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

Addressing a press conference on Saturday, Ameer Jamat-e-Islami Hafiz Naeem-ur-Rehman said that there will be a protest across the country tomorrow.

He said that problems are increasing due to the incompetence of the government.

He said that excessive load shedding is being done.

Currently, billions of rupees are being given to these power plants which are not generating electricity, Hafiz Naeem-ur-Rehman said.

There has been a 129 percent increase in the number of people who are professionals leaving the country this year as compared to last year, he added.

He said more than 26.2 million children who should be in school are not going to school.

He said how will small farmers move forward?

What will be done by privatizing the institutions, Pakistan will not work by issuing such decrees and the government has to tell about its performance, he added.

Until 2005, Pakistan Steel was a profitable company and why did Nawaz Sharif stop its gas, Hafiz Naeemur Rehman said.

He said that give an account of the institutions which have been privatized.

Talking about budget he said that the entire budget is truly an anti-people budget.

People spent Eid in extreme heat and faced loadshedding for 12 to 14 hours, Hafiz Naeem said.

He said, the burden of Independent Power Producers (IPPs) is borne by the poor and industrialists.

Hafiz Naeem-ur-Reman said that instead of investing in the delivery system, it was spent on rewarding IPPs.

Jamaat-e-Islami will protest against the government's indifference, loadshedding and budget tomorrow, he announced.
