Punjab CM Maryam reviews performance of DCs, admin during Eid

Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz cahird a meeting to review overall performance regarding cleanup operations during Eid-ul-Azha and other administrative matters across the province, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Saturday.
In the meeting, Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz appreciated the Deputy Commissioners and their teams for their excellent performance on Eid.
Addressing the meeting, Maryam Nawaz said that “I am happy with my whole team and congratulations from the bottom of my heart”.
Maryam Nawaz Sharif said the journey of serving the people should continue with the same enthusiasm.
Commissioners, Deputy Commissioners and ACs should set aside one day in a week for the public, Maryam Nawaz said.
The CM directed the officers to visit hospitals, schools and get report on buildings, electrical wiring and other issues regularly.
Maryam Nawaz Sharif said every district should have a permanent control room for monitoring like Eid.
Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz also appreciated the performance of Provincial Information Minister Uzma Zahid Bukhari, Provincial Local Government Minister Zeeshan Rafique.
Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif also felicitated in-charge CM Complaint Cell Shoaib Mirza and Special Assistant Zeeshan Malik.
The media, public representatives and public reacted positively to the Eid cleanup, Maryam Nawaz said.
The standard of cleanliness established on Eid must be maintained in any case, she directed.
Maryam Nawaz Sharif said that the sanitation arrangements in cities, towns and villages were not only satisfactory but excellent.
After removing the decorations, the roads were first washed and sprayed with water mixed with rose water, Maryam Nawaz appreciated.
The CM said that the management and officials performed their duties diligently and did full justice to the duty.
Deputy Commissioners and their teams worked well to reduce bus fares, Maryam Nawaz said.
She said the people should have got the relief of reduction in fares when the fuel price came down.
Advance arrangements should be made in view of Maram Al-Haram, floods and possible rains, Maryam Nawaz directed.
She further directed that a sustainable mechanism should be created to provide basic food items to the common man at affordable prices.
Provincial Information Minister Zahid Bukhari, Provincial Local Government Minister Zeeshan Rafique, Special Assistant Zeeshan Malik, MPA Sania Ashiq, Chief Secretary Zahid Akhtar Zaman, Additional IG, Secretaries, Principal Secretary Sajid Zafar Dal and others were also present.
All commissioners and deputy commissioners participated through video link.
