Shujaat likens coronavirus to a divine warning

Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain, a former prime minister who is head of a faction of the PML that is part of the PTI-led ruling coalition, has likened the deadly coronavirus to a divine warning that has disabled the atom bombs and missiles and made even the superpowers helpless.

In a statement issued in Lahore on Sunday, the veteran politician said the best solution to the situation lays in seeking forgiveness from Allah Almighty.

Coronavirus, the leader from Gujrat said, has established that the world can be crippled without the use of any weapons.

He underlined the need for unity among all religious schools of thought.

The PML-Q chief appealed to Muslims across the world to come to the straight path, warning that the situation could aggravate further in case they failed to heed to do so.

Ch Shujaat said at present every country was in the lockdown situation. For the normalization of the situation there was a need for self-reformation and ‘Istighfar’. Allah is Forgiver, Merciful, he said.
