Officers at Punjab IGP office get raise in fuel expenses

Officers at the office of the Punjab inspector general of police (IGP) got a raise between Rs20,000 and Rs68,000 in terms of monthly fuel expenses, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
As per the official sources, monthly fuel for the additional IG rank officers has been increased from 350 to 500 litres and 200 to 400 litres for the DIG rank officers.
Monthly fuel for the assistant IG rank officers has been increased from 175 to 300 litres and 125 to 200 litres for assistant directors.
The former Punjab IGP had reduced the petrol limit under the fuel saving policy, officials said.
The senior officers have two or more vehicles. The proposal to increase the monthly expenses of petrol was presented in the meeting of the executive board which immediately approved the proposal.
