Court extends bails of Imran Khan’s sisters in May 9 violence cases

An anti-terrorism court (ATC) in Lahore on Wednesday extended the interim bails granted to Uzma Khan and Aleema Khan, sisters of PTI Chairman Imran Khan, ex-PTI leader Asad Umar and PTI leader Zain Qureshi in cases of May 9 violence until December 9, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
ATC judge Arshad Javed heard the bail petitions filed by Imran’s sisters and Asad Umar and Zain Qureshi.
While Uzma and Aleema appeared in the court, Asad and Zain did not as they filed applications for exemption from appearance in the court today, which the judge accepted.
During the hearing, the investigation officer (IO) told the court that the suspects were not cooperating; therefore, more time was required for questioning.
The court ordered all the suspects to cooperate with the investigators.
