Anti-India protest halts trade at Wagah border

The transporters of Chaman and the relatives of detained truck driver Abdul Wasay staged a protest demonstration by blocking the passage of commercial trucks heading to the Wagah border, halting the flow of commercial goods through Wagah, reporter 24NewsHD TV channel on Saturday.
According to details, the supply of merchandise through Wagah was also suspended following alleged detention of the truck driver Abdul Wasay in India by the Border Security Force (BSF) on suspicion of hiding contraband inside the truck.
Consequently, the transporters community of Chaman and relatives of Abdul Wasay have been protesting saying that the cargo supply at Wagah border will remain suspended until Abdul Wasay’s release.
