Punjab to spend Rs7b on publicity despite financial difficulties 

The Standing Committee on Finance has approved a regular fund of seven billion rupees for the promotion of government initiatives in Punjab, 24NewsHD TV channel reported. 

According to the documents, the Punjab government will spend Rs7 billion to publicize government initiatives and projects. 

Public funds will be used to publicize government initiatives on social media as well. 

According to sources, the Finance Department of Punjab made recommendations to cut this amount due to financial difficulties, but the Chief Minister of Punjab continued to publicize his government initiatives despite objections.
