Peshawar High Court (PHC) Wednesday reinstated the vice-chancellor (VC) of the Gomal University and cancelled his forced leave from the governor of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) province.
According to the 24News HD TV Channel, a division bench of the PHC heard the case against forced leave of the VC Gomal University from the KP governor.
KP Governor Shah Farman had twice sent Dr Iftikhar on forced leave for three months in return for writing a letter to Prime Minister Imran Khan.
Dr Iftikhar had opposed the idea of dividing the Gomal University into an agriculture university in his letter to the PM.
After getting forced leave from the KP governor, the VC challenged it in the court who finally granted Dr Iftikhar's writ petition and reinstated him in his post.
