12 May 9 fugitives arrested from PTI rally venue

In an important development, Lahore police have been successful in arrested 12 fugitives linked to May 9 vandalism from the PTI’s rally venue in Kahna on Saturday, reported 24NewsHD TV channe.
The arrested 12 PTI workers had been declared proclaimed offenders (POs) by the courts in the May 9-related cases.
Police officials have said that the suspects, who were wanted in connection with the cases registered against them at different police stations of Lahore, were traced with the help of the latest technology.
Over 12,000 police officers, personnel to provide security
On the other hand, while making it clear that the protection of the people’s lives and properties was a top priority for the police, DIG Operations Muhammad Faisal Kamran has said that over 12,000 police officers and personnel will perform security duties during the PTI’s rally which includes 63 SPs, 165 DSPs, 165 SHOs/inspectors and 1002 upper subordinates will perform their duties.
He further revealed that around 324 ladies personnel already deputed on different locations.
DIG Operations said that different Dolphin Force squads are patrolling on different routes leading to rally.
He said that enhanced vigilance and monitoring is being conducted through CCTV cameras.
He said separate parking area is established for parking of motorcycles and other vehicles.
He said that police will take every possible measure for safety and security of common man.
He appealed to general pubic to cooperate with local police to ensure peaceful environment.
