Islamabad High Court has deferred its judgment against the medical staff deployed for the coronavirus patients in the public interest, maintaining it is not the right time to make it public.
“This is not the right time for making public the judgment against the medical staff working for the coronavirus patients,” IHC Chief Justice Athar Minallah said while ordering to withhold the reserved judgment.
“The judgment may demoralize the doctors crusading against the coronavirus,” Justice Minallah said.
Although the applications submitted to the IHC against the doctors predate the coronavirus, the court has decided to postpone the verdict.
IHC had reserved the judgment after hearing arguments from each side.

The court remarked, “In these critical times of the pandemic, the health workers, doctors, nurses, paramedics are dealing with an extra-ordinary situation on duty.”
“They’re the vanguard against the fight against the coronavirus on the global level,” the court remarked and said that the medical staff is burning midnight’s oil regardless of adversities of any kind.
“So, in the public interest, we have decided to withhold the cases related to the medical staff,” the court observed while adjourning the cases till the second week of May.
