Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Saturday announced extra funding in the Benazir Income Support Program (BISP) for 0.5 million poor families in Balochistan province.  
Shehbaz Sharif addressed the groundbreaking ceremony of the Khuzdar-Kuchlak National Highway (N-25) and said these extra BISP funds will not be provided to the families who will not send their children to school after three months. He also advised Ahsan Iqbal to implement it immediately after this sitting.
He also announced to start of the Metro Bus Service in Quetta and directed the administration to prepare the feasibility.
He also announced establishing a university for technical education in Quetta with an aim of giving laptops into the hands of the youth of Balochistan and saving them from picking the arms.
He said he agreed with the opinion that Balochistan is facing serious deprivation and geological problems. He said it is unfortunate that the people of Balochistan are not facilitated with the natural gas getting from the Sui area of the province. 

The PM said his government will also solve the issue of missing persons. He also announced a laptop scheme for the students of Balochistan.
About the Khuzdar-Kuchlak national Highway project, the PM said actually it is about a 200 billion rupees project starting from Lasbela to Chaman. He said he has no idea at the moment where these funds will come from but has a belief in arranging to complete it in his government in the next one and half years.
He said Balochistan and KP have already faced heavy terror attacks in past. He said that terrorism is emerging once again in the country but determined to defeat it again.
Baloch leader Sardar Akhtar Jan Mengal, federal ministers Ahsan Iqbal and Mufti Asad Mehmood also attended the ceremony.
