20 booked for ‘stuffing’ ballot papers into Wazirabad presiding officer’s pocket

A presiding officer at a polling station in Ahmad Nagar area of Wazirabad, who was caught possessing ballot papers during Sunday’s by-elections, on Monday got an FIR registered against 20 persons, including the polling agent, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
In the FIR, in which sections related to interference in official duty and others were inserted, the officer alleged that those nominated in it had robbed him of cash worth Rs10,000.
He also alleged that the suspects tried to stuff ballot papers in his pocket.
As many as 100 ballot papers had been recovered from the officer inside the polling station.
In this connection, a press conference was also held at Hamid Nasir Chattha House.
