Govt decides single-dose mobile vaccination of beggars, minorities in Sindh

Sindh government decided to vaccinate beggars and minorities through the mobile service, the 24News HD TV channel reported on Monday.
According to the reports, Sindh Health Department had decided to vaccinate beggars through the corona mobile vaccination.
The government had also instructed all the district health officers across the province to make a strategy for giving a single dose to the baggers in their areas.
The report said that as per the 2017 census, there were around 25 million beggars in the country and 70,000 beggars were in Karachi living under flyovers and bridges in the city.
To vaccinate the baggers, the Sindh government issued a notification on Monday.
The government also decided to conduct a vaccination drive in minority community places of worship especially the mandars and temples of Hindus, churches of Christians, gurdwaras of Sikhs, community halls and worship building of Parsis.
According to the report, Sindh Health Department would administrate vaccination doses through mobile vans at the worship places.
