Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi proposes Tamgha-e-Shujaat for police martyrs

Federal Minister for Interior Affairs Syed Mohsin Raza Naqvi Friday proposed awarding the Tamgha-e-Shujaat to police martyrs who lost their lives during a dacoit attack in the Kacha region last night. 

According to the 24NewsHD TV channel, the announcement was made during his visit to Sheikh Zayed Hospital in Rahim Yar Khan, where he inquired after injured police officers.

The interior minister personally visited each injured officer, commending their courage and resolve. He instructed hospital administration to provide the best possible medical care for the wounded officers, emphasising the importance of their recovery.

Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi also praised their bravery, calling them the "brave sons of Punjab Police."

Mohsin Naqvi confirmed that a recommendation for awarding the Tamgha-e-Shujaat to the martyrs had already been made.

He also vowed that those responsible for the attack would face severe and exemplary punishment, describing the incident as a significant tragedy for Pakistan.

The minister assured that the federal government, along with the Rangers, is providing full support and will continue to do so.

Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi also attended the funeral prayers of the martyred police officers offered at the Police Line in Rahim Yar Khan. 

Inspector General Police Punjab, DG Rangers Punjab, Home Secretary Punjab, RPO Bahawalpur, Commissioner Bahawalpur, DIG Sukkur, DPO Rahim Yar Khan, Deputy Commissioner Rahim Yar Khan, and other civil and military officials were also present in the funeral prayer.
