A PIA plane flying to Jeddah from Multan on Thursday developed some technical glitch after some time of its takeoff which forced the pilot to land the aircraft at Muscat Airport, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

Sources informed 24News TV channel that the PIA aircraft Boeing 777 which took off for Jeddah from Multan developed some technical fault as its cargo gate warning alarm went off after some time.

The pilot of the plane soon contacted the air traffic controller at Muscat Airport and safely landed the aircraft after getting permission from the Muscat Airport authorities.

The PIA spokesperson said that the plane warning alarm went off when an error sign about cargo gate appeared on the plane’s screen at Muscat Airport.

He said a cargo measuring seven tons was offloaded and after a complete inspection and security clearance, the plane flew to Jeddah.
