UHS issues first merit list for MBBS, BDS programs

The University of Health (UHS) on Friday issued the first provincial merit list for MBBS/BDS 2022-23 seats of public sector medical/dental colleges of Punjab, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
The first selection list consisted of 3047 candidates for open merit MBBS/BDS seats in 16 government medical colleges across the province. It list is available at the official website of the University of Health Sciences, https://www.uhs.edu.pk/meritlist22/selectionlist2022.php.
The selection list of MBBS was released after the approval of the Provincial Admission Committee (PAC). The meeting of PAC was held under the chairmanship of VC UHS Prof Ahsan Waheed Rathore. Special Secretary Health Wajid Shah, VC King Edward Medical University Prof Mahmood Ayaz participated in the meeting. Fatima Jinnah Medical University Lahore VC Dr Khalid Masood Gondal and Faisalabad Medical University VC Prof Zafar Chaudhry's participation through video link. VC University of Child Health Professor Masood Sadiq also participated through the video link.
Representatives of Nishtar Medical University Multan and Rawalpindi Medical University also participated through the video link. The committee members expressed their satisfaction over the preparation of the selection list and termed it according to merit. Pakistan Medical Commission was also consulted during the preparation of the selection list.
The final merit for MBBS on Open Merit is 90.53 percent King Edward Medical College Lahore has the highest merit of 93.55 percent on Open Merit, Rawalpindi Medical College Rawalpindi Merit has 93.23 percent and Allama Iqbal Medical College Lahore has 92.63 percent.
The merit of Services Institute of Medical Sciences Lahore is 92.10 percent Ameer Uddin Medical College Lahore has 91.74 percent and Nishtar Medical College Multan has 91.49 percent.
The merit of Fatima Jinnah Medical College Lahore is 91.34 percent, Punjab Medical College Faisalabad 91.17 percent Gujranwala Medical College Gujranwala 91.03 percent, Quaid-e-Azam Medical College Bahawalpur 90.76 percent, Khawaja Muhammad Safdar Medical College Sialkot 90.73 percent,
Sargodha Medical College Sargodha 90.68%, Nawaz Sharif Medical College Gujarat 90.67%, Sahiwal Medical College 90.65%, Sheikh Zayed Medical College Rahim Yar Khan 90.53 and DG Khan Medical College 90.5318. The merit on the seats reserved for Overseas Pakistanis was 87.62 percent. The merit for seats reserved for children with disabilities is 80.78 percent. The merit for inter-provincial (Reciprocal) seats is 90.47 percent.
A selection list was also released for admission to reserved seats for seven backward districts including Rajanpur, DG Khan, Layyah, Bakhar, Lodhran, Muzaffargarh and Mianwali.
According to a statement issued by the UHS, the selection list is provisional and is subject to correction amendment in case of any error, omission, mistake, fraud or, a misrepresentation that occurs or is brought to the notice of University Authorities.
The selected candidates have been asked to download their College Fee Challan of Rs 18,030/- from the MBBS/BDS Admission Portal (https:l/wvm.bop.com.pk/UHS•2022/Login.aspx) by logging in with the help of their registered Email and password and then clicking "DOWNLOAD CHALLAN" button.
The selected candidates are advised to deposit their College Admission Fee against the said challan at any branch of the Bank of Punjab (BOP) by Wednesday, 28th December 2022 (during banking hours).
They have been warned as those who fail to deposit their College Admission Fee by Wednesday, Dec 28 as per the prescribed procedure, their admission shall be cancelled and they shall be excluded from the further admission/upgradation process. Such a candidate shall have no right of admission into the said program in the current session.
The college fee challan can be downloaded from the application portal of the Bank of Punjab. The portal link is http://www.bop.com.pk/UHS-2022/Login.aspx
The candidate need not go to college to submit the fee.
The second selection list will be released on December 30.
