ANF seizes 912kg narcotics in different operations

The action of Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) against narcotics’ smuggling is continuing as it has seized a total of 912 kilogrammes of drugs in different operations and arrested 10 individuals, including four women, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
According to ANF spokesperson, a passenger bound for Saudi Arabia was arrested after 58 capsules filled with ‘ice’ were discovered in his stomach at Lahore Airport. Similarly, at Multan Airport, another passenger heading to Sharjah was found to have swallowed 52 capsules filled with heroin.
In Islamabad, near Chongi No. 26, four women were apprehended with a combined total of 6 kilograms of hashish and 1 kilogram of ice. Meanwhile, near Burhan Interchange in Attock, 4 kilograms and 200 grams of hashish were recovered from the vehicle of two accused individuals.
The ANF also failed attempts to export 5 kilograms of ice to Australia from Lahore Airport's Cargo Office through a book parcel. In Karachi, 4.5 kilograms of ‘ice’ hidden in a book parcel destined for Saudi Arabia were intercepted at a courier office.
In Chaman, near Kali Sheen Talaab, a large amount of 148.7 kilograms of Charas was recovered from an empty house. Additionally, 620 kilograms of Charas was found in an abandoned truck on Bypass Road, Jacobabad.
ANF also recovered 118 kilograms of Charas from the Sir Dasht area of Gwadar. In Number Chungi, near Islamabad, four women were arrested with 6 kilograms of Charas and 1 kilogramme of ice.
In Burhan Interchange, Attock, 4.2 kilogrammes of Charas was recovered from 2 persons in a car. 2 kilogrammes of Charas and the same amount of ‘ice’ was also recovered from two suspects in Askari Park, Quetta. All arrested suspects are now facing cases under the Anti-Narcotics Act, and investigations have been started by ANF, the spokesman concluded.
