Govt announces new fees for different passports’ categories

Important news for those interested in getting passports as the federal government has announced new fees for the issuance of different categories of passports, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Saturday.
According to details, the government has announced separate fees for the issuance of e-passports, machine-readable (MRP) and lost passports.
The fee for an e-passport, consisting of 36 pages, has been fixed at Rs3,000 for a five-year period while that for urgent at Rs15,000.
Similarly, the fee for a 75-page normal passport has been fixed at Rs15,500, while that for urgent at Rs27,000 for 10 years.
Likewise, the fee for a 36-page e-passport has been fixed at Rs13,500, while for an urgent at Rs24, 750.
The fee for a 75-page e-passport has now been fixed at Rs16,500, Rs27,000 for an urgent, normal fee for a period of 10 years at Rs24,750 while Rs40,500 for an urgent.
Similarly, the fee for a 36-page MRP passport is now Rs4,500 for five years, Rs7,500 for an urgent and Rs13,500 for a fast track passport.
