Bigwigs enter into arena as nomination papers submission process continues

The nationwide process of submitting nomination papers for the upcoming 2024 elections continued on Friday, reported the 24NewsHD TV channel.


The candidates are actively submitting their nomination papers from the respective Returning Officer (RO) offices situated in Islamabad and various provinces.


Former prime minister Mian Shahbaz Sharif is contesting elections from Lahore and Kasur constituencies simultaneously.


Malik Rasheed Ahmed Khan, former MNA, sacrificed his constituency NA-138 (Kasur-II) for his leader.


Malik Ahmad Khan has submitted his nomination papers for Constituency PP-179 while Malik Ahmed Saeed Khan submitted papers for Constituency PP-178.


Mian Shehbaz Sharif along with the Malik brothers accompanied by hundreds of workers reached the Deputy Commissioner Ground to submit nomination papers.


The former chairman of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf has submitted nomination papers for the NA 89 constituency of Mianwali through his lawyer Bilal Umar Budla.


Istehkam-e-Pakistan Party (IPP) leader Major Khurram Hameed Rokhri also submitted nomination papers to contest elections from NA-89.


Inam Ullah Khan Niazi submitted nomination papers for PP 87.


The nomination papers of Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi for the NA-69 constituency have been submitted.


His nomination papers were submitted by many lawyers.


PPP Senator Yusuf Baloch received the nomination papers on behalf of Bilawal Bhutto, who is contesting from NA-239.  


Bilawal Bhutto will decide whether he will contest the elections from Karachi or not.


Yousaf Baloch also submitted his nomination papers for constituency PS 107


Jamiat Ulema Islam chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman submitted the nomination papers from Pashin, Balochistan. He is also contesting from DI Khan.  


The nomination papers of Maulana Fazlur Rehman were submitted by Jamiat Ulema Islam Balochistan chief Maulana Abdul Wasi.


IPP President Abdul Aleem Khan will contest the election from the NA-147 constituency of Jahanian. His nomination papers have been submitted to the Returning Officer Khanewal district. 


Humayun Khan Advocate, Shamshad Ali Tashi, and IPP leader Ayaz Khan Niazi also submitted their nomination papers to contest NA-147.


Eleven candidates including Ghulam Abbas Sotrak, Hamza Humayun, and Junaid Javed submitted their nomination papers from Jahanian constituencies.


Former PTI leader Fawad Chaudhry's wife has submitted her nomination papers for NA 61 and PP 26 of Jehlum district.


Former minister of state for interior affairs Abdul Rehman Kanju submitted nomination papers for NA 154 Lodhran 1.


PML-n central leader Mian Javed Latif has submitted nomination papers to vie from two seats of the national assembly and one provincial assembly constituency.


The nomination papers of Mian Javed Latif have been submitted to Returning Office Sheikhupura. He is contesting simultaneously


from NA-115, NA-116, and PP-141.


Mian Amjad Latif, brother of Javed Latif submitted nomination papers.  


 Former prime minister and National Assembly speaker Raja Pervaiz Ashraf submitted nomination papers in the office of Assistant Commissioner Gujar Khan.


PPP stalwart submitted his nomination papers for National Assembly Constituency NA-52.


Former Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Dost Mohammad Khan Khosa submitted nomination papers to the returning office


Sardar Dost Mohammad Khan Khosa submitted nomination papers against NA 185, NA 186, PP-288, and PP-289 of Dera Ghazi Khan-II.


Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan emir Siraj ul Haque submitted nomination papers from NA- 7 constituency of Lower Dir-2. Jamaat-e-Islami Khyber Pakhtunkhwa emir Prof Muhammad Ibrahim Khan submitted nomination papers for NA- 39 Banu. Abdul Wasy has submitted papers for PK-61, Mardan.


Former provincial minister Inayat Ullah Khan submitted the papers for PK- 13 Dir Upper.
