India refuses visas to 239 Pakistani devotees

India has refused visas to hundreds of Pakistani devotees who wanted to visit Ajmer Sharif to attend the annual urs celebrations of Sui saint Khawaja Moinuddin Chishti in Ajmer in Rajasthan, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
The Indian High Commission in Islamabad has declined to issue visas to 239 Pakistanis.
In total 488 Pakistanis applied for Indian visa whereas 249 of them were issued visas. Six officials were deputed to take care of the pilgrims during their stay in India; however, only one of them was granted permission to go with the pilgrims.
The Pakistani devotees who were issued visas will depart for India on Tuesday, after being informed about their travel plan through messages on cell phones, and they were directed to reach Lahore.
