Education Department issues security advisory for private institutions

The Federal Directorate of Education Department has issued a security advisory for all private educational institutions in the wake of recent threats, reported 24NewsHD TV channel Monday.

The advisory letter, sent to all private schools and colleges, contains the following instructions:

- Ensure barbed wire on the four walls of all educational institutions and the presence of a security guard at the gate.

- Prohibit the entry of unrelated persons and check all persons, including staff, at the time of entry.

- Activate CCTV cameras in and around educational institutions and report any suspicious activity to the security agencies.

The Education Department has urged all private institutions to implement the advisory as soon as possible and ensure the safety of students and staff.
